Firenze WIFI
La rete pubblica FirenzeWIFI, fornita dal Comune di Firenze in alcune delle aree cittadine appositamente abilitate e coperte dal servizio, consente di accedere a titolo gratuito, senza alcun onere e/o costo, alla rete Internet in modalità wi-fi, cioè senza fili.
Il servizio è rivolto a cittadini, turisti e qualsiasi altro utilizzatore per finalità strettamente personali, quindi non è consentito utilizzare il servizio per fini commerciali.
La rete FirenzeWIFI non richiede, non tratta e non salva informazioni di autenticazione di alcun tipo, né credenziali di accesso degli utenti, ma fornisce solo un canale per collegarsi ad Internet per gli utilizzatori.
Il servizio può essere utilizzato con proprie apparecchiature informatiche e dispositivi (smartphone, tablet, notebook, ecc.), compatibili e dotati di scheda di rete certificata dal marchio WI-FI, configurate in autonomia dall’utilizzatore. Si raccomanda di configurare opportunamente in sicurezza il proprio dispositivo, tenerlo sempre aggiornato e dotarlo di adeguate protezioni contro malware o altro genere di intrusioni o di attacchi provenienti da Internet che possono arrecare danni allo stesso dispositivo o anche al servizio FirenzeWIFI.
Il servizio è istantaneo, fruibile in mobilità nelle aree di copertura previste sul territorio cittadino ed è disponibile, offerto in modalità best-effort, cioè qualità e stabilità possono variare nel tempo, 24 ore al giorno e 7 giorni la settimana.
Agli utilizzatori viene fornita una connessione gratuita verso Internet limitata a un massimo di 1 gigabyte giornaliero di traffico dati alla velocità massima consentita dalla rete FirenzeWIFI o a quella del dispositivo, se inferiore. Superata tale soglia, la velocità di navigazione viene progressivamente ridotta fino alla disconnessione dal servizio.
- Attivare il segnale wi-fi sul proprio dispositivo.
- Collegarsi alla rete pubblica chiamata FirenzeWiFi.
- Qualora il browser non si apra automaticamente,
- aprire un browser e digitare un indirizzo iniziale HTTP
- (NO Google, ma http://www.ansa.it o http://www.italia.it).
- Cliccare o tappare sul pulsante verde comparso nella pagina del browser
"Naviga Libero/Free Internet" o dopo, un minuto di attesa, la connessione viene abilitata comunque. - La navigazione libera è adesso attiva.

FirenzeWIFI is a public wireless network provided by the City of Florence in certain areas of the city. It lets people connect to the Internet for free, without paying anything, using a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.
The FirenzeWIFI network does not ask for, handle, or save any login details or passwords. It simply offers a way for people to access the Internet.

You can use the service with your own devices (smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.) that have a certified Wi-Fi card. You need to set up and manage your own device.
Since the network gives you access to the global Internet, it is important to:
keep your device secure and updated, use antivirus or other protections to avoid malware and attacks from the Internet that could harm your device or the FirenzeWIFI system.
Users get a free Internet connection with a daily data limit of 1 gigabyte. The connection runs at the maximum speed allowed by the FirenzeWIFI network or your device speed, if slower).
Once the 1 GB limit is reached, the speed will slow down and eventually the connection will stop.
How to do it:
1. Turn on Wi-Fi on your device.
2. Connect to the public network called FirenzeWiFi.
3. If your web browser doesn’t open automatically, open it manually and type in a simple web address starting with HTTP (do not use Google). For example: http://www.ansa.it - http://www.italia.it
4. Click or tap the green button on the web page that says
"Naviga Libero / Free Internet” If you don’t click, the connection will start automatically after about a minute.
5. You are now connected and can browse the Internet.
